The first thing you should do when you have an Android device is set such that images are stored directly in the external memory card.
Let me tell you, once you insert SD card in your device, next open the Camera app where a message will appear asking if you want to change the storage location, here select SD card. The same popup occurs for most devices when SD card is inserted and the Camera app is opened next.
If popup doesn't appear on your device don't worry, you need to configure it manually. Just open the Camera app, go to settings scroll down to Storage Options. That is where you will choose between Device and Memory Card.
